The NFL vs. MMA Battle Royale
This show was being developed as a reality show vehicle for both Herschel Walker and MMA in general. Herschel and several other NFL types had begun fight MMA professionally, setting up a decent idea for a reality show.
Basically set up as "The Ultimate Fighter," but with teams made up of "real fighters" and "NFL / Star Athletes" who would train each week, and then fight... proving who was in fact the ultimate athlete.
I believe this project eventually jumped ship a headed toward deeper waters and/or pockets, which I can't fault. Though it never saw the light of day, Herschel Walker did go on to fight MMA professionally, and was fairly successful.
The best thing to come out of this for me was that I got to meet Herschel, and shoot him working out in the gym where he lived. He struck me as a very, very sharp individual, and an absolutely awesome specimen of human athleticism. An impressive human being, that guy.
